The Flash (NYX gaming)

The Flash is a NextGen / NYX gaming slot game released in June 2016, and it’s not only a slot game for Flash fans, but is an easy to play slot game that pays. It’s a decent title that isn’t visually impressive and doesn’t look like much, but this is actually among the easier slots to beat as the base game pays very well.

General review

This 4×5 game has 50 mandatory paylines, and your bet per spin can be between $0.50 and $250, for normal spins. If you wish to activate the Bonus Bet feature, you’ll pay 10 coins more for each spin, so the price will be from $0.60 to $300, and you’ll enable the Rogues Feature which awards 12 free spins when three Bonus Scatters land on your reels. No Bonus Bet – no free spins possible in the game.

Flash is Wild and it’s main win booster in the game as all base game wins involving the Wild are multiplied by up to 5x, and this goes up to 10x during the free spins game. This is excellent, and as Wilds are common, you can expect to see many multiplied wins in The Flash slot.

There are three flavors of the free spins game, with three distinct features, and you get to pick the one you like the most. Captain Cold may freeze a reel into an expanding Wild for a single re-spins. Gorilla Grodd will teleport a Wild to a different position during every spin. Mirror Master may appear randomly and take you back in time to replay the last 4 free spins.

There is a feature in the base game called the Speedster Feature, where non-Wild symbols may change into Wild. If you play without the Bonus Bet activated, this would be the only bonus feature you’d have.

How much Bonus Bet matters is evident from the changed theoretical return to player (RTP) when Bonus Bet is active, it rises to 95.47% compared to the meagre 92.48% in the normal game which is actually just the base game with free spins feature absent. It’s good to know that RTP of the base game is 92.48%, that’s high for the base game alone, and this means that this is a quality slot game.

Strategy and Tips

The only way to play the game is with the Bonus Bet active, and in this case you’ll get the usual wait-for-free-spins experience, with a difference that the base game pays nicely because of added Wilds and the Wild multiplier. It’s possible to make money in the base game alone, making this a slot game that’s easy to play, and this is the best feature about The Flash. The game pays well, doesn’t demand a large bankroll, and when you finally trigger those free spins you’ll definitely walk away a winner. The only thing missing here is a chance to win that DC Superheroes Jackpot which only appears in Playtech DC Comics games.
